Crown Relocations

I used Crown Relocations to move a small shipment from NZ to the UK. The NZ end were organised and efficient. The UK end was a complete nightmare. My shipment left NZ 26th June and arrived in the UK on 29th August. What you don't find out until the goods arrive in the country is that it 10 days to pass customs and then another month for Crown to arrange delivery. In fact it took a lot longer than this. I was told this was because it was high season. Every now and then I would receive an email about how the goods had arrived in various places and delivery was being arranged. When I eventually got a delivery date I explained I would be at work so asked for another date. Despite telling Crown twice I would not be at home they still sent the delivery. When I contacted Crown they said I would have to wait for the delivery to be attempted then they would rearrange delivery, meaning I had to wait even longer. They then told me another delivery date had been arranged so I arranged to be at home on that day. That day came and went, no delivery. I chased up the delivery firm they had contracted to deliver the items and I was told it was on hold in Manchester. Crown had made no effort at all to arrange redelivery, that was a lie. As Crown would only pay for week day delivery I was never going to get the goods so I drove to Manchester (a 3hr round trip) to pick the goods up myself. I have had no compensation for the fact that I did the job myself and no apology. They are so incompetent and if I hadn't made the effort to search for my goods I would not have them now. It took nearly 4 months of constant chasing to be reunited with my delivery, what a nightmare!

Never use this company! Because of Crown Relocations our move resulted in enormous stress, lost money, damaged furniture and possessions.
First of all all of our furniture was badly damaged and broken (photos attached). There was minimum protection on very fragile and expensive pieces. No « FRAGILE » or any other sort of indication on the boxes with breakable stuff.
Another thing - instead of sending additional crew members and pack everything (except for beds) in 1 day, they sent 1(!) man the first day and were packing full 3 days knowing the volume in advance.
The proposal of services they sent and we signed indicated that the transit time would be 5-7 days (tbc). Instead we waited for more than a month.
There were hidden costs they don’t talk and write anywhere about. We had to pay additionally nearly £2000 and we’ve been told about this after all our belongings were taken and after we left the country. They said they wouldn’t deliver if we wouldn’t paid.
